What is Tencel?

Tencel® is one of our most environmentally friendly textile materials. The material comes straight from nature and is extracted from FSC*-certified cellulose from sustainable forestry. Tencel® has many of the same good properties as wool, and clothes made in Tencel® are soft, durable, hold the fit well and carry moisture away from the skin.

Tencel® is produced from Eucalyptus trees. The production is FSC certified, which guarantees sustainable forestry. Trees used in production are replaced, and raw material production itself consumes CO2 and produces oxygen. Forestry takes place in areas that are not suitable for arable land and thus does not come into conflict with food production.

Tencel® er et naturmateriale med mange av de samme egenskapene som merinoull. Ullblandingen føles myk og sval mot huden, bevarer ullas evne til temperaturregulering og fukttransport, samtidig som Tencel® gir økt slitestyrke og holder bedre på passformen.

Tencel® utvinnes av cellulose fra eukalyptustrær, og er et av våre mest miljøvennlige tekstilmaterialer. Vi bruker FSC-sertifisert Tencel® som kommer fra skogsdrift med fokus på bærekraftig praksis. Dette betyr:

• Trærne som brukes erstattes
• Råvareproduksjonen forbruker CO₂ og produserer oksygen
• Foregår i områder som ikke egner seg til matjord, og er ikke i konflikt med lokal matproduksjon

Vi får merinoull fra Uruguay. Merinosauen trives best i varmt og tørt klima, og er spesielt godt tilpasset Sør-Amerika. Merinoulla vår er sertifisert med Responsible Wool Standard. Dette betyr:

• Strenge krav til lønn og arbeidsforhold

60% Merino wool 40% Tencel® 100% Sustainable

We recommend a washing bag and Lanullva's own wool wash for all our collections and hand wash for the Eilif collection. Wool garments that are knitted in 100% wool can be aired and do not need to be washed as often as normal clothes.

Woolen products cannot withstand stain removers.

After washing, the garment can be carefully stretched and dried flat. This is particularly important for the thin Havbris wool collection.
Please wash the wool garment before use. This means that the fine and airy knitting method that is Lanullva's distinctive feature sticks better. This applies especially to the wool products from the thick Hustadvika wool collection.

• Detergent for wool
• Centrifugation max 400 revolutions
• Do not tumble dry
• Wash a few wool products at a time, and wash Lanullva by itself.
• Do not mix more textiles with wool in the washing machine
