The family at Lyngstad had always loved animals and the very special nature of Northwest Norway – it was therefore only natural that the woolen production should take place with respect for values such as renewability, the environment and good animal welfare.
In her search for the best suppliers of merino wool, Gunn Anne saw a lot of poor animal welfare on her travels around the world. Also within sheep farming and pure wool, there was a lot that was not right. Even major nations in sheep farming and wool production still treat their sheep badly – in many places!
